Both are included with All Access. Both feel great. They just do different jobs, so timing matters.
Ice bath: careful after lifting
Cold is a strong tool when you need to feel ready again quickly, like between games or after a big conditioning day. But research suggests that jumping in the cold straight after strength training can blunt some of the gains you're chasing. If the goal of the session was to get stronger or build muscle, give it a few hours, or save the cold for another day.
Sauna: for winding down
Heat is relaxing, and many people find it helps them switch off after training and sleep better. Keep sessions sensible, get out if you feel light-headed, and drink water before and after.
A simple rule of thumb
- After a strength session: sauna, or nothing.
- Between games or after hard conditioning: ice bath.
- On a rest day: either, whatever makes you feel best.
Recover properly
Sauna and ice bath are included with All Access, and our practitioners are in the same building.
Check first if it's not for you
If you're pregnant, have a heart condition or blood pressure concerns, or you're unwell, talk to a doctor before using the sauna or ice bath. Our practitioners are happy to help you work out what fits.
